There are a few reasons why your Merlyn Display remote might not be recognized by your panel. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Re-pair the Remote:
The most common solution is to re-pair the remote with your panel. To do this, follow these steps:
- Press and hold the Freeze button and the Settings button simultaneously for a few seconds. This will put the remote into pairing mode.
- You should see the blue light on the remote flash rapidly.
2. Unpair and Re-pair the Remote (if Re-pairing Doesn't Work):
If re-pairing doesn't work, you may need to unpair the remote completely and then re-pair it. Here's how:
- Press and hold the Back button and the Chat button simultaneously for a few seconds. This will unpair the remote from the panel.
- The red light on the remote should flash rapidly to indicate successful unpairing.
- Now, follow the steps in section 1 to re-pair the remote.
3. Check Batteries and Remote Functionality:
Make sure the batteries in your remote are fresh and properly inserted. Weak batteries can cause connection issues.
Ensure the USB is plugged into the Android 3.0 port.
4. Contact Customer Support:
If you've tried all of the above steps and your remote is still not functioning properly, please contact Merlyn customer support for further assistance at support@merlyn.com
